Concept

The site located on NH-43 on the way to Anantpur from Bangalore for a Korean car major was to house a hotel / employee guesthouse. The design was conceptualised in a language that reflected Indian and Korean Architectures. Design comprises of a centrally located pool accessible from restaurant as well as hotel rooms and banquet hall. The Buddha Bar restaurant takes inspiration from the Korean temple form as it floats over the lotus pool. The guest rooms open out to stepped terraces that face lush paddy fields . Local materials such as wooden shingles, tiles have been incorporated into the design to help it blend into the local architecture. Extensive use of water as a feature in the landscape was made possible because of the nearby reservoir.
